John was born on November 17th, 1679.1   John's father was Humphrey Johnson and his mother was Abigail May.  His paternal grandparents were John Johnson and Margery Heath. He had a brother and a sister, named John and Deborah. He had five half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Benjamin, Nathaniel, Joseph, Isaac, John, Mehitable, Martha, Margaret, Deborah, Mary and Deborah.1
