Andrew was born in 1860 in Denmark.1   Andrew's father was Neils Andrew Jensen and his mother was Johanna Prebine Frandsen. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Frederick Hoitoft, John H., Peter Neils, Chris W., Christine and Anna Elizabeth.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.1
