Urania was born on September 23rd, 1707.1   Urania's father was Richard Bowen and her mother was Mercy Titus.  Her paternal grandfather was Richard Bowen. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Abijah, Thomas, Jabesh, Ebenezer, Elizabeth and Damaris Bowen.  She was the youngest of the seven children.1
