Serena Horne

Serena was born in 1793.¹   Serena's father was Henry Horne and her mother was Serena Barfield.  Her paternal grandfather was Thomas Horne; her maternal grandparents were Moses Barfield and Piety Unknown. She had eight brothers and three sisters, named Hilkiah, Hardy, Alfred, Daniel, Lewis, Thomas, Benjamin, Wright, Ivey, Lennie and Rillie.  She was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.¹
