Malissa Bennett Holland

Malissa Bennett was born on August 21st, 1877.¹ Malissa Bennett's father was James Jackson Holland and her mother was Latisha Marietta Blair. Her paternal grandparents were Willoughby Berrian Holland and Ellender Yeomans. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Alonza James "Lon", Willoughby Allen "Will", Lloyd Paul, Charles David, Berrian Gilbert "Berry", Harvey Fletcher, Thomas Francis, Lubena, Ella Mirandi, Frederica Thursa, Annie Laura and Mollie Lou. She was the third oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 36 on August 29th, 1913.¹
