Sarah was born in 1637 in Boston, Suffolk, MA.1   Sarah's father was Joshua Griffith and her mother was Alice Unknown. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, William, James, Elizabeth and Mary.  She was the youngest of the six children.1
