Jan DeGraaf 
Jan was born on February 20th, 1873 in Sint Philipsland, Netherlands.1 Jan's father was Marinus DeGraaf and his mother was Johanna Jocomina VerWys. His paternal grandparents were Jan DeGraaf and Adrianna Faasee; his maternal grandparents were Abraham VerWys and Katherine VandeRee. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Abraham, Jacobus Johannes, Marinus, John, Janna, Catherine Peternella, Laura, Anna and Nettie. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 20 on December 24th, 1893 in Sint Philipsland, Netherlands.1 -
