Barak Cushing 
Barak was born on June 17th, 1805.1 Barak's father was James Cushing and his mother was Deborah Washburn. His paternal grandparents were Seth Cushing and Lydia Everson; his maternal grandfather was Elkanah Washburn. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James, Augustus, Ebenezer, James, Abel, Deborah and Deborah. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.1 General Notes

Barak Cushing moved from near Salem, Mass., sometime in the 1840's, to a small farm near White's Corners, a village about 15 miles south of Buffalo, N. Y.
