1   Anne's father was Joseph Brown and her mother was Sarah Pray.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Brown and Waite Waterman. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, Benjamin, Stephen, Abigail, Martha, Amey, Deborah, Mary and Sarah. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Wait, Amey and Phebe.1
