Mable's father was Rudolph Bredow and her mother was Louise Hopp.  Her maternal grandparents were Charles Hopp and Johanna Maria Adrian. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Fred, Herbert, John, Leonard, Wilbert, Emma A, Anna and Florence.
