Barent was born on October 22nd, 1634 in BAPTISM, AMSTERDAM, Holland.1   Barent's father was Albert Andriessen Bradt and his mother was Annatie Barents.  His paternal grandfather was Dad Andriessen Bradt; his maternal grandparents were Geesjie Barents and Barent Rottmer. He had a brother named Storm (Andriessen) Vanderzee.  He was the older of the two children.1
