Hiram T was born on August 25th, 1846 in Grove, Allegany, NY.1   Hiram T's father was Samuel Brace and his mother was Anna Marie Olmsted.  His paternal grandparents were William Brace and Nancy Harkness; his maternal grandparents were John Olmsted and Lucy Hull. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Holister, William, Mary, Nancy, Sarah, Belvia, Laura, Adaline and Cornelia.  He was the fifth youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 55 on February 14th, 1902 in Clarkston, Asotin, WA.  He was buried on February 17th, 1902 in Normal Hill Cem, Lewiston, Nez Perce, ID.1 1
