Corine's father was Thomas J. Boyett and her mother was Florence Thornton. Her paternal grandparents were William M. Boyett and Sarah Pricilla "Sallie" Holland. She had a brother and six sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Lester, Daisy, Jessie May, Malissa, Mary, Sarah, Viola and Ellie Lee.-
