Thomas was born about 1502 in Helmingham, Suffolk, England.1   Thomas' father was Thomas Bacon and his mother was Joane Wade. He had two brothers and six sisters, named John, Henry, Joan, Anne, Elizabeth, Mary, Agnes and Elizabeth.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died in 1557.2
