John was born on September 5th, 1821 in Prussia.1   John's father was Hubert Arenz and his mother was Mary S. Miller.  He was an only child.  He died  due to cancer at the age of 76 on October 25th, 1897 in St Josephs Ridge, Wisconsin.1
