Charles Ambrosius 
Charles was born in 1857 in Collinsville, Madison Co, Illinois.1 Charles' father was Matthew Ambrosius and his mother was Elizabeth Wendler. His paternal grandmother was Catherine; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Wendler and Margaret Rang. He had a brother and three sisters, named Henry, Katherine, Sophia L and Esther. He was the second oldest of the five children.1 -
