1   John's father was Ralph Allen and his mother was Susanna Unknown.  His paternal grandfather was George Allen. He had six brothers and a sister, named Increase, Ebenezer, Philip, Benjamin, Joseph, Zachariah and Patience.  He died in 1706 in Sandwich, MA.1
