Ludwig von Hessen-Darmstadt 
Ludwig was born in 1658. Ludwig's father was Ludwig Vl von Hessen-Darmstadt and his mother was Elisabeth Dorothea von Sachsen-Gotha. His paternal grandparents were Georg ll von Hessen-Darmstadt and Sofie Eleonore von Sachsen. He had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Georg, Ernst Ludwig, Georg, Philipp, Johann, Heinrich, Friedrich, Magdalene Sibylle, Sofie Eleonore, Marie Elisabeth, Auguste Magdalene, Sofie Marie, Sofie Luise and Elisabeth Dorothea. He was the sixth oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 20 in 1678.
