Karoline von Hessen-Darmstadt

Karoline was born in 1746. Karoline's father was Ludwig lX von Hessen-Darmstadt and her mother was Karoline Palatine von Zweibruecken-Birkenfeld. Her paternal grandparents were Ludwig Vlll von Hessen-Darmstadt and Charlotte von Hanau-Lichtenberg. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Ludwig I Landgraf, Christian, Frederica, Amalie, Wilhelmine and Luise. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 75 in 1821.
