His paternal grandparents were Georg I Hanover Koenig von England and Sophia Dorothea von Celle; his maternal grandfather was John Friedrich von Brandenburg. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Friedrich Louis Hanover Prinz, George William, William Augustus von Cumberland, Anne, Amelia Sophia Eleanor, Caroline Elizabeth, Mary von Great and Louisa. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died on November 20th, 1716 in St. James Palace, London, England.-
