Dedo V von Groitzsch & Rochlitz

Dedo V von Groitzsch & was born about 1136 in Of, Meissen, Dresden, Saxony.¹   Dedo V von Groitzsch &'s father was Konrad "Der Grosse" Markgraf von Meissen and his mother was Luitgard Countess von Schwaben.  His paternal grandparents were Thimo Count von Wettin and Ida Prinzessin von Bayern; his maternal grandfather was Albert im Schwabengau. He had six brothers and six sisters, named Heinrich Prinz, Otto "Der Reiche"  Markgraf, Dietrich Markgraf, Hermann Count, Heinrich I Count, Friedrich I Count, Oda Prinzessin, Bertha Prinzessin, Gertrud Prinzessin, Adele, Sofie Prinzessin and Agnes Prinzessin.  He was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children.  He died on August 16th, 1190.¹
