William was born in 1153.1   William's father was Henry II Plantagenet Koenig von England and his mother was Rosamunde von Clifford.  His paternal grandparents were Geoffrey V von Plantagenet and Matilda (Maud]) von England. He had a sister named William Longspee Earl. He had twenty-four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Wilhelm, William Prinz, William, Henry " Der Junge Koenig " Koenig, Henry, Henry Prinz, Richard I "Loewenherz" Koenig, Geoffrey, Geoffrey, Geoffrey Duke, Geoffrey Prinz, Philip Prince, John, John "Lackland"  Koenig, John, William, Henry Duke, William Prinz, Geoffrey Prinz, Philip Prinz, Philip, Geoffrey Archbishop, William Earl, William, Matilda Prinzessin, Matilda, Eleanor Plantagenet Prinzessin, Joanna Plantagenet Koenigin and Joanna Princess.  He died at the age of 72 on March 7th, 1225.1
