Joan was born about February 1335 in Woodstock Palace, Oxfordshire, England.1 Joan's father was Edward III Koenig von England and her mother was Philippa Countess von Hainault-Holland. Her paternal grandparents were Edward II Plantagenet Koenig von England and Isabelle Prinzessin von Frankreich; her maternal grandparents were William III " Der Gute " von Hainault and Jeanne von Valois. She had twenty-six brothers and fifteen sisters, named Edward "The Black" Prince, Edward "Black Prinz" Prinz, Edward "The Black", William, William Prince, Lionel von Antwerpen, Lionel Prince, Lionel, John " von Gaunt " England Duke, John von Gaunt Duke, John, John von Gaunt l Duke, Edmund Plantagenet, Edmund von Langley Plantagenet, Edmund Planegade " von Langley", Edmund, Wilhelm Prinz, William, Thomas von Woodstock Prinz, Thomas, Thomas Prince, Lionel Plantagenet, Wilhelm, Wilhelm, Thomas Duke, Thomas, Isabella, Isabel Prinzessin, Joan Princess, Blanche, Blanche Princess, Mary, Mary Princess, Margaret, Margaret Princess, Eleanor, Margaret, Mary, Isabella, Blanche and Joanna. She died on September 2nd, 1348 in Bayonne.1 -
