Henry J. was born on August 28th, 1836 in Holstein, Denmark.1 Henry J.'s father was Dr. Edward Guth and his mother was Dorothy Peters. His maternal grandparents were John Peters and Doroty Klufer. He had a brother and seven sisters, named Edward, Louisa, Henrietta, Dora, Beatte, Olga, Rosa Louise and Thekla. He died at the age of 50 on January 5th, 1887 in Colorado (buried in Wheatland, Iowa.1 -
