Margrethe was born on September 29th, 1568 in Lystrup.1   Margrethe's father was Eiler Grubbe and her mother was Else Laxmand.  Her maternal grandfather was Bjoern Stensen Laxman.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 85 on April 12th, 1654 in Copenhagen.1
