Joan Courtenay 
Joan was born about 1452 in Of, Powderham Castle, Devonshire, England.1 Joan's father was William Courtenay and her mother was Margaret Bonville. Her paternal grandparents were Philip Courtenay and Elizabeth Hungerford; her maternal grandparents were William Bonville and Margaret Merriet. She had four brothers and a sister, named William, Edward, Philip, James and Catherine. She was the second oldest of the six children.1 -
