Thierry II (Dietrich Bar & Montbeliar

Thierry II (Dietrich was born in 1045 in Of Bar-Le-Duc, Meuse, France.¹   Thierry II (Dietrich's father was Louis Comte von Montbelliard and his mother was Sophie Comtesse von Bar.  His paternal grandfather was Louis Count von Mousson; his maternal grandparents were Friedrich II Duke von Larraine and Mathilde von Suabe. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Brunon, Louis, Frederic, Mathilde, Sophie and Beatrix.  He was the second oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 60 on January 2nd, 1105.¹
