John Back

John was born on March 7th, 1815 in Knox Co., KY.¹ John's father was Henry Back and his mother was Susannah Maggard. His paternal grandparents were Henry Back and Elizabeth Hoffman; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Maggard and Rebecca Robertson. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Samuel, Henry, Lewis, David, James, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Mary, Susannah, Sarah and Sarah. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 71 on March 10th, 1886.¹
