Sigrid was born about 1022 in Osteraat, Yrje, Norway.  Sigrid's father was Finn Arnesson and her mother is Bergliot Halfdansdottir.  Her paternal grandparents are Arni Arnmodsson and GjertruDe Erlingsdottir; her maternal grandfather is Halfdan Sigurdsson. She had a sister named Ingibiorg.  She is the older of the two children.
