Laurette was born in 1142 in Hainault, Flanders. Laurette's father was Baudouin IV De Hainault and her mother was Alix De Namur. Her paternal grandparents are Baudouin III De Hainault and Yolande Von Wassenberg; her maternal grandparents were Godfrey I De Namur De Lorraine and Ermisende De Luxembourg. She had a brother and two sisters, named Baudouin VIII, Agnes and Yolande. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 39 on August 9th, 1181.General Notes
