Agnes was born about 1341 in Green Norton, Northamptonshire, England. Agnes' father was Henry Greene and her mother is Cartherine De Drayton. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas De Greene and Lucy La Zouche; her maternal grandfather was John De Drayton and her maternal grandmother is Phillippa D'Arderne. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Richard, Nicholas, Henry, John, Amadilo, Margaret and Amabilia. She was the oldest of the nine children.
