Petronilla was born about 1238 in Moreton Corbet, Shropshire, England. Petronilla's father was Richard Corbet and her mother was Petronella De Booley. Her paternal grandfather was Richard Corbet and her paternal grandmother is Johanna Toret. She had four brothers named Robert, Roger, Richard and John.
