John Comyn 
John was born in 1169 in Altyre, Morayshire, Scotland. John's father was Richard Comyn and his mother was Hextilda of Tynedale. His paternal grandfather was William Comyn and his paternal grandmother is Maud Basset; his maternal grandparents were Uchtred of Tynedale and UNKNOWN Bethoc. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Odo, Simon, David, William, Idonea and Margaret. He was the second youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother named Henry of.
