Adam of was born about 1173. Adam of's father was Adam De Audley and his mother is Emma FitzOrm. His paternal grandfather was Liulf of Aldithley. He had four brothers and a sister, named Henry, William of, James of, Lucas of and Isabella of. He is the oldest of the six children.
