Emogene A. was born on March 17th, 1843 in Elba, Genesse County New York. Emogene A.'s father was Nathan John Wood and her mother was Ardelia F. Sargent. Her maternal grandfather was Timothy Lorenzo Sargent and her maternal grandmother is Delia Estabrook. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Emory J., John C., Stephen H., Freddie A., Mary, Nancy and Wealthy S.. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 62 on October 4th, 1905 in Rockford, Winnebago County Illinois.-
