Albert Melbourn was born on October 1st, 1879 in Great Valley, Cattaraugus County New York. Albert Melbourn's father was Melbourne Wilcox and his mother was Amanda Cordelia Keene. His paternal grandparents were Seymour Wilcox and Sally C. Sargent; his maternal grandparents were Harvey Sprague Keene and Aviah Sargent. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Stillman, Emery Galen, Leona Aviah and Lurah Philena. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 84 on October 27th, 1963 in Wyoming County New York.-
