Lloyd was born on January 29th, 1900 in Minneapolis, Hennipen County, Minnesota. Lloyd's father was William Robert Stokes and his mother was Louisa Jane Gugler. His maternal grandparents were Godfrey Sebastin Gugler and Abigail Salinda Perkins. He had a sister named Lizetta. He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-sister named Bertha Rose. He died at the age of 86 in July 1986 in Spokane, Spokane County, Washington. He was buried in Greenwood Cemetary, Spokane, Spokane County, Washington.-
