Samuel was born on March 21st, 1777 in Canterbury, New Hampshire. Samuel's father was Samuel Sargent and his mother was Miriam Tucker. His paternal grandfather was Aaron Sargent and his paternal grandmother is Submit Estabrook. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Ezra, Aaron, Dominicus, Charles, John, Lydia, Sally, Nancy and Myra. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 78 on May 9th, 1855 in Canterbury, New Hampshire.-
