Robert Eugene was born on August 25th, 1880 in Rutland, Massachusetts. Robert Eugene's father was John Newton Sargent and his mother was Jane Elaine Davis. His paternal grandparents were David Sargent and Rebecca Shute. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John Henry, Edward Clarence, Arthur Everett, Walter William, George H., Mary Jane, Hattie Rebeckah and Laura Louise. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 78 on June 7th, 1959 in Groton, Massachusetts.-
