James Joshua Sargent 
James Joshua was born on March 17th, 1823 in Cornish, York County, Maine. James Joshua's father was Ensign Sargent and his mother was Deborah Gray. His paternal grandparents were Chase Sargent and Martha Buswell. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Elias, Benjamin, Abner, Ensign, Sylvanus, Ephraim, Franklin, Olive, Nancy, Martha and Maryann B.. He was the third youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 69 on February 21st, 1893 in Hiram, Maine.-
