James Sargent 
James was born in 1764 in Goffstown, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. James' father was Trueworthy Sargent and his mother was Hopestill Weed. His paternal grandparents were Elias Sargent and Anna Hadley. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Jacob, Benjamin, Joseph, Elias, Mary and Susanna. He was the youngest of the seven children.
