Henry Walter was born on November 18th, 1841 in Norwich, Vermont. Henry Walter's father was Walter Taplin Sargent and his mother was Lodisa Yarington. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Sargent and Susan Bartlett. He has four brothers named Edward Turner, James Monroe, Charles Herbert and Nelson Plumer. He is the third oldest of the five children.-
