Andrew M. was born on August 29th, 1847 in Lincoln, Addison County, Vermont. Andrew M.'s father was Chase L. Sargent and his mother was Mary Ann Brown. His paternal grandparents were Moses Sargent and Sally Durfee. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Joel Lucian, Daniel H., Edson W., Chase L., Grant, Sewell J., Lucy A., Ednah D., Clarissa M. and Louise B.. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 27 on January 23rd, 1875 in Marquette, Wisconsin.-
