John Raleigh 
John was born about 1295 in Nettlecombe, Williton, Somerset, England. John's father was Simon De Ralegh and his mother is Joan Le Tort. His paternal grandparents are Simon De Ralegh and Ela De Reigny; his maternal grandfather is Laurence Le Tort. He was an only child. He died in 1340.General Notes
John de Raleigh, of Nettlecombe. Died 1340. Joined the
rebellion of Thomas, Earl of Lancaster, in 1316 for which his
estates were seized, but later returned. A collector of the King's
