Joseph Curtis was born on May 25th, 1880 in Wanship, Summit, Utah. Joseph Curtis' father was Joseph Phillips and his mother was Sarah Lovisa Roundy. His maternal grandparents were Jared Curtis Roundy and Louisa Jenne. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Lyle Edwin, Ernest Wayne, Josephine, Lovisa or Jenne, Edna May, Lula Mavo, Blanche, Florence and Evelyn Irene. He was the third oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 74 on May 22nd, 1955 in Oakley, Summit, Utah. He was buried on May 25th, 1955 in Wanship, Summit, Utah.-
