Jacob Gibbs 
Jacob was born before March 28th, 1630 in Exeter, Devonshire, England. Jacob's father was Giles Gibbs and his mother was Katherine Carwithe. His paternal grandparents were William Gibbs and Mary Newcourt; his maternal grandparents are Roger Carwithe and Elizabeth Westcott. He was an only child. He died on March 18th, 1709 in Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut.General Notes
In 1651 Jacob Gibbs was fined 40s. in Windsor, Hartford Co., Connecticut for misdemeanor, and warned to expect more severe penalty in future. On December 4, 1657 he married Elizabeth Andros (or Andrews). Samuel Cross purchased land in Windsor from Jacob Gibbs in 1678.
