John was born in 1317 in Knaith, Lincolnshire, England. John's father was John 1St Baron Darcy and his mother was Emmeline Daughter Of Walter Heron. His paternal grandparents were Roger Darcy and Isabel D' Aton; his maternal grandfather was Walter Heron. He was an only child. He died at the age of 39 on March 5th, 1356 in Notton, Yorkshire, England.General Notes
Note: Ancestral Roots states that John was slain at Crecy while Magna Charta Sureties states he died at Notton, Yorkshire. Both have the same date. Since the Battle of Crecy was in 1346, I assume MCS is correct.
