Claire Neal was born on October 10th, 1880 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. Claire Neal's father was Irving A. J. Colby and her mother was Clara Lawrence Hale. Her paternal grandmother was Louisa A. Philips. She had two brothers and a sister, named Child, Child and Irvena Adelaide. She was the youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 35 on March 13th, 1916 in City Hospital, Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. She was buried on March 16th, 1916 in Mt Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.General Notes

C. H. Miller, M.D., of Asmont, Massachusetts attended her from March 2nd
until her death, and stated the cause of death was eclampsia
caused by childbirth.
John Hall, of Quincy, was the undertaker.
