Catherine Lorene was born on August 1st, 1912 in Marion, Missouri. Catherine Lorene's father was Orville Guy Chatfield and her mother was Margaret Mae Jefferson. Her paternal grandparents were John Chatfield and Matilda Alice Alli Netherland. She had two brothers and a sister, named Lilburn Ray, Orville Guy Jr and Virgina Mae.
