Joanna Carter 
Joanna was born on November 26th, 1824 in Benson, Rutland, Vermont. She died at the age of 22 on February 5th, 1847 in Winter Quarters, Douglas, Iowa. She was buried in February 1847 in Winter Quarters, Douglas, Iowa.
‌Joanna and Lauren Hotchkiss were married in a religious ceremony on May 21st, 1842 in Nauvoo, Hancock, Illinois. They had three sons named Byron Donalvin, William Heber and Adelbert.
